Sydney’s Darling Harbour is gearing up for a spectacular showcase of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with the launch of a free Live Site at Tumbalong Park. Tumbalong Park will be the center of Olympic excitement, while Palm Grove will host the Paralympics. This exciting event offers everyone the chance to unite, celebrate, and cheer on the Australian team.
Tumbalong Park will showcase live broadcasts of the world’s leading athletes competing for gold on large screens. With free admission, sydneysiders and visitors can easily dive into the excitement. Attendees can indulge in a variety of food from on-site food trucks or explore the wide range of culinary options available throughout the area.
To mark each Australian victory, eateries around Darling Harbour will join in the Olympic celebrations. Every time Australia takes home a gold medal, the first 50 people to visit the Darling Harbour Live Site the following day at 1pm will receive a voucher to redeem at local retail partners.
In addition to the live broadcasts, Darling Harbour is offering a range of Olympic-themed activities. On Friday, 2 August, Darling Harbour will celebrate Green and Gold Day with special events from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and 6pm to 7pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their green and gold attire and join in Australian sports musical bingo with James Breko
As we anticipate Brisbane’s role as the host of the 2032 Games, Darling Harbour is excited to invite visitors to join the Australian Olympic Committee’s ‘Have A Go’ Olympic Challenge. Engage in a variety of sports activities, including gymnastics, rowing, and athletics. Don’t forget to commemorate your experience with a photo at the Darling Harbour podium and photo wall to celebrate your personal achievements.
Event starts 27 July to 8 September, from 12pm to 11pm
